Owner & head instructor

Founded Trilogy in January 2017 after thirty years in martial arts. Started in kickboxing at seventeen under Matt Laurence, then moved into the Progressive Fighting System under Paul Vunak with certifications at black belt standard. Trains in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Professor Marcel Louzado, and created his own approach to mixed martial arts fighting, S.A.W. Systems. Extensive instructional background with law enforcement and military in weapons and hand-to-hand combat.

Chris is a father of four, and a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Sean Wheeler and Fabio Santos. Chris has been doing Jiu Jitsu since 1999. He is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer, Health Coach, Group Fitness Instructor, and Medical Exercise Specialist, NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, NBHWC certified NBC-HWC, and NASM Certified Personal Trainer who loves to share his enthusiasm for fitness with others and is committed to lifelong learning. He holds a bachelor's degree in kinesiology from San Diego State University, a master's degree in kinesiology from A.T. Still University, and a certificate in orthotics from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.
