What your child actually learns
Position before submission, how to fall safely, how to control someone bigger than they are, and how to stay calm when someone is pressing on them. Jiu-jitsu is the one martial art where a smaller person can control a larger one without throwing a punch, which is exactly the situation a bullied kid is in.
Anti-bullying, taught honestly
Our coaches talk to the kids about what bullying is, when to walk away, when to tell an adult, and what to do when neither of those works. Parents mention this in their reviews more than any technique.
Shy kids welcome
More than one family has told us they came because their child was shy or lacked confidence. Nobody is put on the spot. The room is patient by design, and progress is measured against where that child started.
Kids classes run Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm. See the full schedule, or call and we will tell you which class fits your child.
